On May 7, Vivo is scheduled to introduce its high-end X300 Ultra smartphone in India with the X300 FE. This would be the company’s first “Ultra” model launch in the nation. Although an official confirmation is still pending, sources suggest that the tablet will likely go on sale on May 14.
After making its debut in China last month, the X300 Ultra is expected to make its way to India in early May. This would put Vivo’s flagship product squarely in the premium market with a significant emphasis on camera performance, if the schedule is accurate.
The X300 FE’s concurrent release raises the possibility that Vivo is aiming for both its top-end model and the tiny flagship market.
Camera-centric flagship positioning
The dual 200mp camera system of the X300 Ultra, which has a 200mp primary sensor and a 200mp periscope telephoto lens, makes it stand out. The periscope lens has a digital zoom of up to 105x and an optical zoom of 3.7x.
The device’s zoom power is further improved with a specialized teleconverter, which produces an optical output of up to 17.4x, making it a formidable competitor in long-range mobile photography.
To complete the image package, the system also has a 50MP front camera for selfies and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Performance, display and battery
In addition to cameras, the gadget has a 7,000mah battery that can sustain heavy use for more than a full day. It has a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED 2K display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, making it ideal for gaming, media viewing, and fluid scrolling.
The smartphone is clearly in the flagship performance category thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU.
Design and build
The X300 Ultra has a flat-edged design while keeping Vivo’s iconic round camera island. Film green, silver-tone, and black color variants are anticipated.
Expected pricing in India
The starting price of the X300 Ultra in China is CNY 6,999, or around Rs 95,700. However, given that the X300 Pro is already priced at Rs 109,999, pricing in India is anticipated to be higher.
Strategic push in premium segment
Vivo is clearly entering the ultra-premium smartphone market in India with the X300 Ultra, with a strong emphasis on camera innovation and high-end features. The introduction may make the flagship market more competitive, particularly for companies aiming to attract photography lovers.
