Honda Introduces E-Clutch Technology in Mid-Size Adventure Touring Segment
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, a Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, has brought its world-tested clutch automation technology to the mid-size adventure touring motorcycle with the launch of the new NX500 E-Clutch. Honda BigWing stores nationwide are currently accepting reservations for the Honda NX500 E-Clutch, which is priced at ₹7.43 lakh (ex-showroom, All India).
E-Clutch Technology Designed for Comfort and Easy Riding
The addition of Honda’s E-Clutch technology, which electronically controls clutch engagement while starting, shifting gears, and stopping, is the motorcycle’s largest improvement. While still enabling riders to manually override the system when necessary, this lessens the necessity for manual clutch action, particularly in stop-and-go city traffic.
According to Honda, the technology is intended to make long-distance highway travel and hectic urban commutes more comfortable for riders. The device attempts to lessen rider fatigue by automating clutch duties without sacrificing the thrilling riding experience that comes with riding a traditional motorcycle.
Honda Executive Highlights Benefits of the New System
The addition of E-Clutch technology improves comfort and control in both urban and touring settings while preserving the hands-on riding experience that Honda motorcycles are renowned for, according to Tsutsumu Otani, president & CEO of HMSI, who commented on the introduction.
Engine, Performance and Suspension Setup
The NX500’s 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine and 6-speed gearbox are still its mechanical components. The motor is optimized to provide smooth power delivery at higher RPMs and powerful low and mid-range torque, making it appropriate for both highway cruising and city trips. It generates 43 Nm and 46 horsepower.
The motorbike has a preload-adjustable rear monoshock and Showa SFF-BP USD front forks. It is constructed around a steel diamond frame. Dual front disc brakes and a rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS are responsible for braking. The NX500 has 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels.
A 5-inch full-color TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity that provides music control, call alerts, and navigation is one of the standout features. As standard, the bike also has full LED illumination and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).
There will be two color options for the Honda NX500 E-Clutch: Pearl Horizon White and Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic.
