Founded in 1979 as Laxmi Metal Pressing Works, Nahars Group India has now grown into a leading manufacturer and supplier of premium automotive components.
Early Growth and Key Partnerships
The company began with the production of stainless steel and aluminum utensils before expanding operations. A crucial turning point came in the late 1990s through a strategic partnership with Bajaj Auto Ltd., marking the Group’s entry into the automotive sector. This collaboration enabled the manufacturing of components for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and commercial vehicles.
Diverse Product Portfolio and Advanced Capabilities
Nahars Group India specializes in designing and producing a wide range of automotive components, including exhaust systems, cabins, chassis, body-in-white (BIW) parts, and precision-pressed components. To stay ahead of industry demands, the company has developed advanced surface treatment capabilities, such as a modern PTCED plant, powder coating, liquid painting, and NiCr plating facilities.

ABOUT THE MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mr. Harshal S Nahar earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, Aurangabad, followed by a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA. He gained valuable experience early in his career as a Project Assistant at the Center for Quick Response Manufacturing and later, served as a Manufacturing Development Program Engineer at Cummins, USA.
In 2012, Mr. Harshal S Nahar joined Laxmi Group to oversee its manufacturing operations. Under his leadership, the company has focused on building a skilled team to drive future growth. In addition to operational management, he has actively diversified the customer base and expanded the business portfolio, ensuring sustainable development.
With a sharp vision to elevate the family business, Mr. Nahar combines strategic foresight with hands-on leadership. His contributions were formally recognized in 2019, when he was honored with the Lokmat Gen-Next Leader Award for Aurangabad.
