Royal Enfield debuted the Scram 440 at Motoverse 2024, with a starting price of Rs. 2.08 lakh for the Trail version, which is only Rs 1,300 more costly than the Scram 411, its predecessor. Ex-showroom prices for the more costly Force trim start at Rs. 2.15 lakh.
A brand-new 443cc air/oil-cooled engine that produces 25.4bhp at 6,250 rpm and 34Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm powers the bike. A gearbox with six speeds is mated to the engine. It should be a more capable touring bike because of the larger displacement and extra equipment. The Trail version is equipped with tube-style tires and standard 19/17-inch spoke wheels. The top-spec Force model, however, has alloy wheels and tubeless tires. Telescopic forks and a monoshock handle suspension chores, and a single disc at either end handles braking.
The Scram 440 and the Scram 411 share a lot of the same styling. It has a huge fuel tank, a slim tail section, and a spherical headlight with a short cowl around it. Additionally, Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green, and Trail Blue are new colors offered by Royal Enfield. The bike’s features include a redesigned front brake for increased stopping force, switchable dual-channel ABS, and an LED headlamp.
The Triumph Scrambler 400X and Yezdi Scrambler will compete with the Royal Enfield Scram 440.
