KCET 2025: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued directions for document verification for applicants enrolling for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). The deadline for KCET registration 2025 is February 18, and applications may be submitted at kea.kar.nic.in.
KCET 2025 will take place on April 16 and 17 for admission to undergraduate engineering, medical, and other professional courses offered by colleges across the state during the 2025-26 academic year.
KEA suggested that college principals put ‘ok’ in their login after verifying the papers submitted by applicants. If any student is discovered to be forging certificates or submitting fraudulent credentials, they will be barred from the admissions process, and KEA will take legal action against them.
KCET 2025: Clause ‘A’ Candidates Exempt from Document Verification – Check Guidelines Here
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 has introduced an important update for candidates falling under Clause ‘A’. As per the latest guidelines, candidates belonging to this category will not be required to undergo the document verification process. This move is aimed at streamlining the admission procedure and reducing the burden on applicants.
Who Falls Under Clause ‘A’?
Clause ‘A’ refers to candidates who have completed their education in Karnataka for a specified number of years and fulfill residency requirements set by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Such students are considered eligible for the state’s domicile benefits and are now exempt from document verification.
Key Guidelines for Clause ‘A’ Candidates
- No Document Verification Required – Candidates classified under Clause ‘A’ will not need to visit verification centers for document validation.
- Direct Admission Consideration – They will be directly considered for admission based on their KCET 2025 scores.
- Submission of Required Details Online – Candidates must ensure their details, such as educational qualifications and domicile status, are accurately filled in the online application portal.
- Adherence to Eligibility Criteria – Although exempt from document verification, Clause ‘A’ candidates must still meet all other eligibility conditions specified by KEA.
- Timely Application Submission – Applicants must complete their registration within the stipulated deadline to avail of this exemption.
Document Verification for Other Candidates
For candidates who do not fall under Clause ‘A’, the document verification process remains mandatory. They will need to visit the designated verification centers with their original documents, including:
- KCET 2025 Admit Card
- Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
Why This Change?
The exemption for Clause ‘A’ candidates is part of KEA’s efforts to simplify the admission process and minimize in-person verification formalities. By leveraging existing records, KEA aims to make the process more efficient and candidate-friendly.
What’s Next?
Candidates should stay updated with KEA’s official website for any further announcements regarding KCET 2025. The complete schedule, including exam dates, result declaration, and seat allotment procedures, will be released soon.
