YoCharge: Building the Future of Electric Mobility
Every once in a while, you come across a company that doesn’t just follow the current but defines the current. YoCharge is one such story that displays the same notion. Emerged from the parent company Yellow Haze Sustainable Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and is quietly powering the digital engine of the electric mobility revolution.
One thing became immediately apparent to us during our conversation with YoCharge’s CEO and Product Architect, Jaideep Singh Shaktawat that the company is more than just a technology company. Actually, it is a mission in motion. In order to enable companies, Charge Point Operators (CPOs), eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs), and even utilities to establish, run, and expand their own branded EV charging networks without having to start from scratch, EV Charging Management Platform YoCharge is developing a white-label EV Charging and Energy Management Platform.
To put it another way, YoCharge gives business owners the digital keys to the future of electric vehicles. Their ecosystem, which includes a strong Charging Management System (CMS), user-friendly mobile applications for drivers, a strong admin dashboard for operators, and an amazing API stack for third-party integrations, is both extensive and sophisticated. With over 15 payment gateways integrated (including Stripe, Razorpay, and M-Pesa, to mention a few) and support for open standards like OCPP 1.6 & 2.0.1 and OCPI 2.2.1, YoCharge has already expanded to more than 20 countries, bringing together utilities, big OEMs, and small operators under a single interoperable cloud.
The Spark Behind the Innovation
When Jaideep spoke about the origins of YoCharge, there was a clear undertone of purpose. The idea didn’t come from chasing trends, it came from identifying a growing gap. EV adoption was racing ahead, but the digital infrastructure that powered it was scattered, inaccessible, and technologically fragmented.
Having worked deeply in the renewable energy sector through Yellow Haze Sustainable, Jaideep realized that the next frontier wasn’t in generating clean power, it was in enabling it. That realization became the foundation of YoCharge. It became a platform designed to make the EV transition accessible to every entrepreneur, fleet operator, and utility company that dares to be part of the clean energy revolution.
Reimagining Fleet Charging
Among their many innovations, the Fleet Charging Module stands out as a masterpiece of practicality and foresight. Designed for logistics, e-commerce fleets, and shared-mobility operators, it digitizes every step of the charging workflow, access control, session tracking, energy allocation, and billing.
Drivers can request access to specific chargers, managers can approve or deny sessions, and analytics take care of the rest, calculating cost per kilometre, carbon savings, and energy usage patterns. What used to be operational chaos is now data-driven clarity. As Jaideep aptly put it, “We want to make EV charging as predictable as fuel management, only smarter, cleaner, and digital.
Challenges and the Path Beyond
Every revolution has its hurdles. For YoCharge, the biggest challenge was interoperability, bridging the differences between charger hardware, payment gateways, and regional compliance frameworks. The answer lay in open standards and a modular microservices architecture, which allowed YoCharge to scale globally while staying locally adaptable.
Market awareness was another barrier. Instead of loud marketing, YoCharge chose education, pilot programs, transparent partnerships, and value-driven storytelling. The brand quietly earned credibility through its impact rather than its pitch.
A Technology Company with a Human touch
Perhaps what truly differentiates YoCharge is its white-label philosophy. They aren’t building their own brand of chargers or Charging Networks, they’re empowering others to build theirs. By offering a managed SaaS model, they focus on partnerships over products, collaboration over competition.
Inside the YoCharge Universe
The beating heart of YoCharge lies in its people. A passionate, young, and diverse team thrives on trust, learning, and ownership. The work culture is flat, the energy palpable. Tools like Jira and Slack keep collaboration agile, while regular retrospectives ensure that ideas travel freely, just like electrons in motion.
Milestones and Recognition
In just two years, YoCharge has made its mark globally, adopted by CPOs in over 20 countries across Asia, Europe, and Africa. Their work has earned them recognition as finalists in the MIETY Chunauti 9.0 and India-UK Tech Fund programs, and they are set to showcase their innovation at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, as one of India’s leading EV charging technology platforms.
