As the Research Director of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), he contributes to addressing the economic, social, and environmental pillars of sustainability. EDUCATOR, AUTHOR, AND TRAILBLAZER
Prof. Anandajit holds a PhD in Energy Economics and Policy from TERI School of Advanced Studies and a Master’s in International Trade and Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He earned distinction as a Ford Foundation Scholar through a merit-based entrance and relative grade-based semester system.
In his career, he has also worked with the United Nations Economic Commission For Africa and both TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) and TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI-SAS). Currently, he is also an independent Visiting Research Fellow at IFRE, ACPET, where he focuses on a people-centric approach to energy transition. Additionally, he is also an Honorary Professor at IMPRI.

The Organization for Harnessing Research Innovation TOHRI Foundation was founded in 2022 by Prof. Anandajit as a philanthropic, not-for-profit initiative with 80G facilities. Its focus areas include Art and Culture for Development, Self-Help Micro Enterprise Mentoring, Health, Poverty, Education, Elderly Care, Reskilling, Mental Health and Resilience Building, and Sports for Development. The visionary leader, Prof. Anandajit, was recently honoured as the third-best author in India at the Digital Literary Award of 2020 by Literary Insight and Literary Mirror for his five popular fiction books.
Additionally, he was named the Best Author of 2021 by the same organisation for his book, “Lucy 3: Lucy and the Rise of the Parabola.” The Book Review, India’s first book review journal in English, which started in 1976 along with the Indian popular print and digital media, recognised his “Lucy Series” as a pioneering work in the field of children’s science fiction and sustainability literature genre.
