Anshuman Agrawal : On any shop floor, machines perform a crucial function, from production and process repetition to labor management. As a result, the machinery must be maintained at peak performance at all times. Cutting fluids like coolants and lubricants keep machines running smoothly for a long time. Manufacturing companies must pay close attention to the quality of the lubricant they use, as it makes a significant difference. Regardless, lubricant contaminants cause machine wear, which is all too often neglected. Plants go to tremendous lengths to monitor the health of machines and lubricants but do little to remedy the problem, be it because of a lack of technology or a lack of understanding.
A simple malfunction, of course, can be disastrous for the relevant company in every way. And there are several examples of the same throughout the world. To help businesses adopt cost-efficient technologies and practices for increased reliability and performance of lubrication and related machinery, Anshuman Agrawal (MD) founded Minimac Systems
In our captivating edition, “An Issue of Top-Level Business Executives,” we will discuss Anshuman’s leadership and how Minimac Systems is pushing its vision of technological evolution toward ‘Zero Mechanical Breakdowns.’
OVER A DECADE OF PIONEERSHIP
Anshuman is an IIT-ISM gold medalist in mechanical engineering. He began his professional journey as an Assistant Manager at Tata Motors, overseeing product development. Within a few years, he realized his passion for mechanical equipment and lubrication. In 2012, he decided to turn his passion for lubrication excellence and industrial reliability into a career, launching Minimac. Over the next ten years, the company underwent numerous transformations and progressed in leaps and bounds.
Currently, Minimac is one of the leading manufacturers, exporters, and technical consultants in India for lubrication reliability and contamination control. It’s known for its best-in-class, versatile, application-compatible, cost-efficient solutions. The offerings include oil purification systems, flushing systems, filtration skids, filter replacements, oil condition monitoring equipment, fluid flow equipment, and services. The company is accredited by ISO standards, namely 9001, 14001 & 18001, and the offerings are customized to specific requirements.
Minimac serves a multitude of high-octane industries, like oil & gas, Power, engineering (EPC, OEM, and PPS), steel and other metals, cement, pulp & paper, metal processing, and the list goes on. It’s registered with NSIC, MSME, EEPC, ONGC, BHEL, IOCL, BPCL, BBMB, HAL, Power Grid Corporation Ltd., NRL, OFB, NMDC, CSL, NTPC, and SAIL. It’s also DIPP Recognized Start-up under the Ministry of Trade & Commerce (GOI).
PIOSED FOR GOVERNING TRASNFORMATION
Discern, Design & Deliver – these are the pillars of Minimac’s growth legacy. They are embodied in its offerings and help in forming robust partnerships. However, the secret of its growth and transformational story lies in its R&D on products and technology. It has been critical to bolstering its competitiveness and being at the forefront. Anshuman explains, “Technological advancements have been one of our critical fortes for a strategic advantage in a global market”. At the same time, R&D adds to the company’s knowledge base. Lubricant contamination varies based on the lubricant, equipment application, ambient conditions, and equipment age, among other factors. There are a variety of approaches that can be used to regulate, separate, or eradicate contamination. Each approach has advantages and disadvantages; hence, no single technology can be deemed superior to others.
The R&D acumen has helped the company equip and update in time to lead transformations in its domain. The company strives to incorporate fast-developing futuristic technologies to have industrial dynamism and address anticipated changes. Its innovations include stage-wise mechanical filtering, low vacuum dehydration, electrostatic fluid cleaning, dry inert gas blanketing, TAN Reduction by Ion Exchange, high-velocity flushing, and liquid-liquid coaling. In the end, the expertise is a fine blend of technological innovation, Anshuman’s experience, and the efforts of a skilled crew, which together contribute to meeting commitments with excellent service.
